Blog #4

I enjoyed the field trip to the Walker Art Museum. I have been to this museum countless times, but I never went inside the greenhouse. Inside there I found the Standing Glass Fish constructed by Frank Gehry in 1986. This piece was humongous. It is by far my favorite piece at the Walker. (other than the cherry and the spoon which is under construction at the moment) The glass structure is above a black pool of water surrounded by large palm trees. The reflections of the mirrors on the fish really complete this piece.
